TWO LITTLE PIGS

We decided that it was time to get pigs. We've discussed it a lot and decided the best way for us would be - Deep Bedding! Deep Bedding is a Korean Style of raising pigs. Normally pigs are kept in concrete pens and their waste needs to be cleaned/collected on a daily basis. With deep bedding, the floor of the pen is covered with a layer of dried grass/hay. The pigs do their business on the grass. The liquid gets absorbed into the grass and the poo is covered with another layer of grass each day. The pigs help to compact it. Each day a new layer is added, or as needed. There is absolutely NO SMELL! After a month or so, the compacted grass can be removed and used in a compost system.

So we got two little brothers! Our 1st pigs ever!
